Assignment 1: Self-Portrait

When creating my self-portrait using p5, I stuck mostly to the basic shapes like rectangle, ellipse, line, and arc. I used the different "setting" references to add color and to change the outline or "stroke" of the different shapes. I found difficulty in placing the shapes in the right spots a lot of the time, and it took some trial and error before I got the hang of it.

In the end, I came up with a self-portrait of my cat, Mittens, and I. My room at home is pink and green so I thought the background was fitting. My favorite color is grey so I put myself in a grey dress, and I often wear a bun on top of my head, so that was the hairstyle that I chose. My cat is black with white paws, so I tried my best to visualize some of those details as well.

Overall, it was a fun process that got me thinking a little bit.
