COVID-19 has been the topic of conversations and headlines. People continue to await the decisions of the government and any news as to what will happen next. As social distancing policies have been introduced across the country, restaurants, malls, and other businesses have closed, and people are advised to stay home. This leaves the streets traffic-less and the towns feeling empty. Social distancing has been a proven way to most effectively combat the spread of the deadly coronavirus, with people staying in their homes and remaining six feet away from others while in public. While this is an important part of containing the spread, the necessity of social distancing has uprooted and disrupted many plans, trips, and concerts. In times like these, it becomes really easy to feel isolated or as if you are alone. Some people aren't able to see their parents and grandparents, we are unable to see our friends at work or school, and suddenly, the world feels a lot smaller. The design of companies and individuals coming together and showing support has been a great deed of the coronavirus pandemic. And although times are tough, we as people are tougher, and we continue to show that through the spreading of support and love all around the world.
While the United States government has not been making all of the best decisions when it comes to the virus, different companies have made certain changes and deals to help during these tough times. Multiple cellular companies, like T-Mobile and AT&T have given their users unlimited data for a period of time, without any changes in the person's balance. Similarly, cable companies like Verizon Fios, have given free access to certain channels that were formerly only available with a specific subscription.
Advertisements and commercials have also quickly adapted in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Companies like Facebook and Apple have shown advertisements depicting series of photos of the way people are living through the pandemic. Apple has created the slogan "Creativity goes on" showing their support during these trying times. The advertisements show personal photos and videos. Some photos and videos show people living at home, kids playing in living room and others working from their living rooms. On the other side, there are those essential workers that continue to get ready for work everyday, because without them, things wouldn't function properly. Countless companies have made advertisements in support of these workers, letting them know that their work has not gone unnoticed. And this acknowledgment and support to many people, could make a huge difference.
On a smaller scale, neighborhoods have come together, without actually coming together physically. In many cities and towns, a round of applause can be heard ringing from the buildings and into the streets at a certain time everyday. It acts as an acknowledgment and "thank you" for all essential workers, those who are still needed in some way during this pandemic. Brightly colored rainbows have been popping up in the windows and on the lawns of both businesses and homes, as a way of spreading hope and cheer during these dark and unprecedented times.

Although most, if not all, of us have never experienced anything like this, we find strength in our commonalities. People and communities coming together in reinvented ways is a beautiful product of the pandemic. The heartwarming ads and adaptions that companies and communities are making help to bring light to such a bleak situation. This is something that we are all experiencing together, and this shared experience is what is bringing us closer, even if we can't do so physically. We spread love and support in anyway possible, because we are all together in this. The power of support is one of the strongest forces that we have right now. We are able to say thank you, to spread hope, and to know we are together in this, all from our own homes, and for that many are thankful.
